Starting My New Life

Monday June 4 was my last day working at DTS as a computer tech so I can step up my Yoga training to become certified in the area of Therapeutic Yoga. I am also adding classes at the YMCA (Yoga and other classes), can give private Yoga lessons and Reiki treatments.

I enjoyed my job with DTS and the people that I worked for and with, but it is my time to turn the page and begin another chapter. This, I believe, will be the largest of all chapters in my life.

I’ll finish my 500 Hour Advanced Teacher Training in 2013. I’ll also begin the Therapeutic Yoga Certification program in 2013. When I complete these two certifications I’ll then move into Integrative Therapy training. Integrative Therapy incorporates several modalities to help with ill or injured patients in medical facilities and other environments, three of the modalities that I’m currently using are; Yoga, Reiki and Aromatherapy.

Since I’m not working at DTS, I’ll be adding five or more classes by fall at the Tiffin YMCA. All my Yoga classes will be moved to the new fitness center at Heidelberg University that the YMCA will manage. Adding the classes will give me experience and education through more hands on teaching. I’ll be living the dream. 🙂

When I went through my 200 Hour Hatha Yoga Certification at Yoga on High we were told that the training is over and the learning begins by teaching. I have found this to be true. The more I teach the more I learn. Believe it or not your students are your teachers.

My next blog will be a video of a pose, stay tuned for next weeks blog.

If you would like to get an e-mail each time I post a blog, just put your email address in the top right where it says “Enter email address…” and it will be sent to you and you can access my site with one click after opening the email. I’m the only one that has control over emails so you will never receive spam or any unwanted soliciting from another site. It will just be my blog and any important notices from Yoga Chuck.

Healthy & Happy,
Yoga Chuck
