Touch to Touch: Lori Moffett at TEDxColumbus

This video by Lori Guth Moffett is a great talk on the Power of Mindful Touch! Lori is a friend, fellow Yogi, UZIT Teacher/Therapist, teaches Self-Care Workshops, Reiki Master, and recently launched “Chai Chat” on Blog Talk Radio. A bi-monthly broadcast that focuses on how to become calm and centered toward living a more authentic and healthy life.

In the video, Lori talks about part of the UZIT program I’m currently going through and she is one of my teachers in this program. UZIT is not a cure but simply helps the patient relax and melt away physical and mental tension and deeply relax the body and mind. Simply put an UZIT therapist can work with someone with a migraine, to someone pre or post surgery, as well as a Hospice patient.

UZIT (Urban Zen Integrative Therapy) uses the modalities of yoga, aromatherapy, Reiki and meditation to ease symptoms associated with illness and its treatment, specifically pain, nausea, insomnia, constipation and exhaustion.

Lori, myself and everyone involved with UZIT hope to bring these therapeutic modalities into the health-care system, offering patients, doctors and nurses the benefits of UZIT.

Happy & Healthy,
Yoga Chuck
